wabi sabi

Wabi-Sabi was created as part of Wix Studio’s WebLab, where teams explored and pushed specific product features. Our focus was hover, a simple interaction that made us think about how things appear, change and disappear. That led us to Wabi-Sabi, the Japanese philosophy of impermanence, imperfection and beauty in transition.

Rather than explaining the philosophy directly, we turned it into an interactive experience. A ceramic vessel became the central metaphor, changing throughout the site as visitors discover its ideas through movement and exploration.
